Kezia Tan spent her childhood in a little town called Bogor in Indonesia. She first discovered her love for art and painting when her Mum took her to a local art class as a young girl. After migrating to Sydney with her family at age 11, her passion for art was further sparked under the influence of her high school art teacher, who encouraged her to explore landscape painting and experiment with both acrylics and oils. She later worked part-time as an art teacher's assistant, helping with running art classes for young children. Though in university and professionally she pursued a career in commerce, she never veered too far away from her creative side. She always dreamed of a life filled with more of her art. When she became a stay-at-home mum in 2016, she finally got the opportunity to do just that through a community of local artists who called themselves 'Mamas with Easels'. Since then, Kezia’s work has featured in numerous exhibitions:
Mamas with Easels' debut group exhibition - Balmain Watch House, March 2017
‘A Brush With Something
Wonderful' - Balmain Watch House, February 2018

Kezia works primarily with acrylics and oils, creating Impressionism-inspired landscape paintings. Her artworks are usually based on places she has personally visited and experienced. She loves to spend time with her husband and four young kids in open spaces, and these often feature in her artworks.
One of her greatest passions is capturing places that evoke emotion for the beholder. If you have a special place you'd like to turn into a painting, please get in touch. Commission available.
